Dear Dr ,

Happy New Year, I hope you all had a lovely festive period.

Reflecting back on 2016, it was a very significant year for St George Private Hospital filled with excellent clinical outcomes and the highest standard of personalised care, not to mention our 36m redevelopment transforming our facility. This redevelopment resulted in a new CCU and day surgery unit, dedicated oncology unit, 4 new theatres, 25 more patient rooms and a multi-storey car park. We also added a 24/7 Ramsay Pharmacy, the second in Sydney, and invested in the latest technologies include the Xi da Vinci robot and the O-Arm for 3D spinal imaging.

In 2017 our focus will continue to be on improving the overall patient experience. We will be working closely with our staff, VMOs and GPs, as well as previous patients to improve and streamline care pathways. We will seek insightful feedback and suggestions through various platforms and introduce new services accordingly. We will be launching a new patient menu following the recruitment of a new Catering Manager and we are in the process of fitting out a Cath Lab which will give patients access to new procedures, such as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implementation (TAVI) which will be available int eh second half of the year.

On the GP front, we have 10 GP Education Events planned covering a wide range of specialty areas including Breast Care, Women's Health, Geriatrics, Orthopaedics, Colorectal and Paediatrics. We will also be working closely with several GP practices providing convenient lunch time and after hours CPD point education. If your practice is interested in organising this please contact us on macivorm@ramsayhealth.com.au.

We would like to thank you for all your support in 2016 and we look forward to working with you and providing top quality care to your patients in 2017.
